What we collect
We collect personal information in three situations. When you use the contact form (name, email, organization, role, message). When you apply to a WIL program (application answers, proof of eligibility, cohort work). When you visit the site (standard web server logs from Cloudflare, used for security and aggregate analytics).
Why we collect it
To reply to your inquiry. To run WIL programs and report on outcomes to funders and participants. To keep the site working and secure. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who we share it with
Program data (applications, completions, outcomes) is shared in aggregated, de-identified form with funders such as the Canadian Digital Supercluster as required by funding agreements. Individual outcomes are only shared with written consent.
Employer partners that run work-integrated-learning projects see participant portfolios and professional information only for the duration of the project. Testimonials, photos, and success stories are only published with consent.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions are kept for 24 months and then deleted. Program records are kept for 7 years after cohort completion to meet nonprofit reporting requirements. Aggregated web logs are retained by Cloudflare per its standard policy.
Your rights under PIPEDA
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete it subject to our retention rules. Email info@worldinnovationleague.com with your request and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies and tracking
The site does not use tracking cookies or cross-site ad pixels. If we add analytics in the future, it will be a privacy-first tool (Plausible or similar) that does not use cookies or collect personal information.
